Bio-analyses
Farma Research Animal Health has more than 25 years experience concerning bio-analysis of veterinary compounds in many matrices (muscle, kidney, fat, skin, liver, plasma, milk, eggs).
Nowadays Farma Research Animal Health co-operates for bio-analysis with Analytical Biochemical Laboratory (ABL). ABL is a contract laboratory for the human and veterinary pharmaceutical industry. It is specialized in the analysis of endogenous and exogenous compounds in biological matrices derived from humans and animals. The laboratory activities comprise:
- the early development phase of drugs
- all preclinical and clinical research phases
- veterinary studies
The laboratory is working for both small and big pharmaceutical and biotechnical companies. They offer highly skilled technicians and study directors/principal investigators who are capable of taking care of all your qualitative- and quantitative bio-analyses of your compounds, metabolites and biomarkers during all phases of veterinary R&D, starting at the early development up to the later stages of clinical development.
Most of the assays have been developed and validated in-house. Besides quantitative analyses, ABL also performs qualitative, semi-quantitative metabolism studies. The analyses are performed in compliance with GLP Principles; the laboratory is inspected by Dutch authorities on a regular basis. ABL has a solid reputation and presents itself as a laboratory that offers high quality, flexibility, short communication lines and competitive prices. ABL works for major pharmaceutical and veterinary companies in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, the USA and many other countries.
Analytical techniques include:
- High Performance Liquid Chromatography with modern detection systems including MS/MS
- LC-MS/MS (with QTrap)
- GC with Flame Ionisation Detection or MS detection
- Automated Fluorescence Immuno Assay system
- Immunoassays (radioactive- and non-radioactive labels)
- C14 –measurements and metabolic profiling
- Biochemistry (Biomarkers)
- Determination of all relevant blood parameters
In co-operation with Farma Research Animal Health many compounds have been quantified in animal matrices.
