ABL

For bio-analysis Farma Research Animal Health co-operates with Analytical Biochemical Laboratory (ABL). ABL is a contract laboratory for the human and veterinary pharmaceutical industry. It is specialized in the analysis of endogenous and exogenous compounds in biological matrices derived from humans and animals. These laboratory activities comprise:

  • the early development phase of drugs
  • all preclinical and clinical research phases
  • veterinary studies
  • The laboratory is working for both small- and big pharmaceutical and biotechnical companies. They offer highly skilled technicians and Study Directors/Principal Investigators who are capable of taking care of all your qualitative- and quantitative bio-analyses of your compounds, metabolites and biomarkers during all phases of pharmaceutical and veterinary R&D, starting at the early development up to the later stages of clinical development, including central laboratory services. Their flexibility permits them to anticipate on your changing demands. Together with their research partners, they can help you to plan, organize and conduct your exploratory, pre-clinical, clinical and veterinary studies (including pharmaceutical analytical chemistry). The laboratory is located in the north of the Netherlands (Assen).

Most of the assays have been developed and validated in-house. Besides quantitative analyses, also qualitative, semi-quantitative metabolism studies are performed. Another service the laboratory provides, is the organization of multi-centre studies, in which it acts as central laboratory for both esoteric- and safety analysis. The analyses are performed according to GLP guidelines. The laboratory is inspected by Dutch authorities on a regular basis. ABL has a solid reputation and presents itself as a laboratory that offers high quality, flexibility, short communication lines and competitive prices. The company works for major pharmaceutical and veterinary companies in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, the USA and many other countries.
